Record funds raised for Domestic & Family Violence Specialist Service

The HBWN, in partnership with Leslie Williams MP, celebrated International Women's Day on 8 March 2017 with a record crowd attending to hear 2015 Australian of the Year Rosie Batty, and honour our 2017 Hastings Heroines.

The event raised $15,500 for the Port Macquarie Hastings Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Service with proceeds going toward the ongoing refurbishment of the Women's Refuge.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our event sponsors Focus Port Macquarie, Direct Advisers, Commonwealth Bank and all the generous local businesses who donated prizes, in kind support and assistance in bringing this event to life.  Special thanks to our amazing IWD Sub-Committee who worked tirelessly to make the event such a great success.
