This session will cover Business Planning:
  • Goal setting, how to create a plan to achieve goals and how to implement the plan
  • Business planning as a living document
  • Creating SMART goals to keep yourself accountable
  • When and what to measure in terms of meeting business goals
  • Developing short, medium, and long terms plans using SMART goals
  • Budgeting and evaluating against budgets

About the presenter: Marja Collins is a Lecturer in Accounting at CSU in Port Macquarie. In a
past life she spent years assisting small businesses learn how to meet their business obligations
and therefore understands the many tasks small business owners are constantly juggling. Marja
has three children and three grandchildren and works in the family businesses as well as teaching.
