International Women's Day

2020 marks the 10th International Women's Day event hosted by the Hastings Business Women's Network, Leslie Williams MP and the International Women's Day Committee.

A very special 10 year Anniversary celebration event will be held on Sunday 8th March.

Everyone is invited to join us for an afternoon Garden Party of cocktails, canapes and live music as we look back on a decade of celebrating women.

The event will reflect on past global event themes such as #pressforparity, #neveralone and #balanceforbetter and will honour
the 10 Years of Hastings Heroines award winners.

This event is not just for women. We encourage men to come along, as we all have a part to play in ensuring equality in our community.

Special Guest Speaker: Samantha Barlow

A former Sergeant of Police in the NSW Police Force, Sam has a remarkable story of resilience and survival. Her incredible story and commitment to helping and inspiring others goes beyond her day job. She's been recognised for many awards for service to the community, including the Australasian Council of Women in Policing Bravery Award and the Pride of Australia Medal for Heroism 2011. Sam will speak briefly about her life experiences and her inspirational book; Left for Dead - A true story of Resilience and Courage, which she co-authored with her husband.
