I am the founder and director of Hearts ‘n Minds Learning.
I am a fully qualified and committed teacher with over 40 years’ experience and expertise in general primary, secondary, K-12 learning difficulties, K-12 special education, English to Speakers of Other Languages and adult education (Literacy and Numeracy.)
My training as a teacher had been to look for the positive in each student and to encourage them to reach their full potential. However, over the years, I also learnt that it is important when looking at a student with a disability or special needs to understand how those needs impact their learning as well as impact their ability to function in the world in which they live.
I understands the complexity of learning difficulties and adopts a broad approach to the full spectrum of a student’s academic and social needs.
