HBWN Members Step Into the Spotlight for Stars of Hastings 2026

Stars of Hastings is back for 2026, bringing together local business owners, community leaders, and familiar faces for an unforgettable night of dancing, entertainment, and fundraising in support of Cancer Council NSW.

Over 10–12 weeks, this year’s Stars will swap their usual day jobs for dance rehearsals, partnering with talented local dance teachers as they prepare to light up the stage - all in the name of raising vital funds for cancer research, prevention programs, advocacy, and support services.

With 1 in 2 Australians diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, the cause is one that touches almost every family and community.

Among this year’s Stars are several incredible members of Hastings Business Women’s Network, each bringing their own story, passion, and reason for stepping onto the dance floor.

Abby Koch | HBWN Membership Coordinator

A lifelong Port Macquarie local, Abby Koch is a Licensed Real Estate Agent at Laing+Simmons Port Macquarie, working alongside her parents in the family business she has been part of since she was five years old. Passionate about people and community, Abby is known for helping clients through life’s biggest moments, volunteering as a netball coach with Port Combined Netball Club, and serving as Membership Coordinator for HBWN.

Cancer has touched Abby’s family in many ways, including her dad’s prostate cancer diagnosis and skin cancers affecting several loved ones over the years. Grateful for the role early detection and research played in their journeys, Abby is dancing to help raise awareness, funds, and support for others impacted by cancer.

Bianca Moore | HBWN Communications Coordinator

Bianca Moore is the owner and self-described Chaos Coordinator of The Witchy Nook, a business built around connection, self-care, and community. Known for her warmth, humour, and willingness to say yes to new experiences, Bianca admits dancing is far outside her comfort zone - but for this cause, she’s all in.

Cancer has deeply impacted Bianca’s life through the loss of both her Nan and Pop, along with watching close friend and breast cancer survivor Sally face her own journey with incredible resilience. Dancing as a Hastings Star is Bianca’s tribute to the people she has loved, lost, and continues to fight alongside.

Dr Claudia Long | HBWN Member

Dr Claudia Long has worked as a GP in the Port Macquarie-Hastings region since 2012 and is also an aesthetic doctor at Port Medical Aesthetics Clinic. Passionate about holistic health, Claudia focuses on helping people feel confident, healthy, and comfortable in their own skin.

Her connection to cancer is both personal and professional. Early in her career, Claudia worked in haematology-oncology, witnessing firsthand the life-changing impact of research and clinical trials. In 2025, her martial arts community also lost its founder, Kevin Blundell, to cancer after a courageous battle. Claudia is dancing in honour of every patient, family, and fighter impacted by cancer, and to help continue the fight for future generations.
