2018 Disrupt the Status Quo
On Thursday 3 May, 45 HBWN members and guests met at Sails Resort Port Macquarie to view an engaging Disrupt the Status Quo style TED Talk over lunch. The event was sponsored by Parker & Co Communications.
The TED Talk was followed by a panel-style discussion featuring three leading business women from our community; Peta Pinson, Mayor, Port Macquarie Hastings Council, Jess Denham, Young Hastings Heroine 2018 and Heather Cavanagh, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Global Engagement (Research and Partnerships), Charles Sturt University. The discussion was lead by Kristy Judge, Organisational Development Program Manager, Essential Energy.
Members enjoyed the opportunity to hear how these inspirational women have championed 'disruption' within their field, as well as network with fellow members.
